This policy explains what personal data Sivo collects when you visit our website or buy from us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Sivo is a sole proprietorship owned by Chiluka Shivani. We are responsible for your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

Information you give us

• When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and what you bought.
• When you contact us: your name, email, phone number if you share it, and your message.
• When you join our list: your email address.

Information collected automatically

• Your bag is stored in your own browser (in local storage) so it’s still there when you come back. It isn’t sent to us until you check out.
• Our checkout, run by Shopify, uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your checkout secure, prevent fraud and remember your details during checkout.

Our website doesn’t use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

Payment information

Payments are processed securely by our payment gateway, Razorpay, on Shopify’s checkout. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password.

Why we use it

• to process, ship and deliver your order, and to handle cancellations, replacements and refunds;
• to reply to your questions and complaints;
• to send you news and offers, only if you’ve subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time;
• to prevent fraud and keep our website and checkout secure; and
• to meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with the service providers we need to run the shop, and only as much as they need:

• Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout;
• our payment gateway (Razorpay), which processes your payment;
• courier partners, which deliver your order; and
• email providers, which deliver order updates and, if you’ve subscribed, our newsletter.

Some of these providers may store data outside India, in line with Indian law. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to government or law enforcement authorities. We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require. We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and messages you send us for as long as we need to deal with them. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

Your rights

We give you these rights now. They mirror the rights in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, several of which take legal effect in stages; as they do, you also have them in law. You can:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
• withdraw consent you’ve given, such as for our newsletter;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; and
• raise a grievance with us and, once that part of the Act is in force, with the Data Protection Board of India if you aren’t satisfied.

To use any of these rights, email wear.sivo@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We may have to keep some data, such as invoices, even after you ask us to erase it, where the law requires it.

Children

Our shop isn’t intended for children. If you are under 18, please use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

Security

Our website and checkout are served over encrypted connections, and we limit who can access your data. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Grievance officer

If you have a complaint about an order, a product or how we handle your information, write to our grievance officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receiving it.
